On 28 and 29 May, 2026
IPM IMG Marine Group took part in the 20th Spanish Marina Symposium, one of the country’s flagship gatherings for the marina and boating industry, held in Palma de Mallorca.
Organised by Asmar and Ports de Balears, the symposium brought together institutional representatives, port authorities, industry experts and maritime professionals to discuss the key challenges and opportunities shaping the future of marina management, sustainability, innovation, technology and port development.
As part of the official programme, José María Campuzano, CEO of IPM Group, joined an expert panel on “Managing Spain’s Marinas”, sharing insights alongside representatives from leading organisations across the national yachting industry.
During the discussion, Campuzano showcased STP Shipyard Palma’s management model, which has positioned the firm as a major refit hub in the Mediterranean and an international benchmark thanks to its open shipyard model, capable of accommodating hundreds of specialised companies working simultaneously within its facilities.
He particularly focused on STP’s coordination capacity, the technical complexity of the project and the economic and professional impact that this collaborative model generates across the industry.
“Spaces like this Symposium are essential for sharing knowledge, fostering debate and continuing to build a common vision for the future of marinas and yacht clubs”, added José María Campuzano.
Beyond the technical programme, IPM IMG Marine Group also organised the Symposium’s official dinner at Es Baluard, a landmark cultural venue on the Paseo Marítimo with breathtaking views of Palma Cathedral and Bellver Castle.
Professionals, institutional representatives, port authorities and industry delegates attending the Symposium on 28 and 29 May gathered for the event, creating an informal setting for networking, sharing experiences and exploring new opportunities for partnerships across the marina and yacht club industry.
The Symposium also reflected IPM IMG Marine Group’s commitment to supporting industry development and promoting dialogue that encourages collaboration, knowledge-sharing and continued progress.
